Ashlie and Jared {married}

I had the pleasure of photographing Ashlie and Jared’s wedding in October in Lexington, Kentucky. This couple, along with all their friends and family were such a joy to work with for the day!

I started the day at Indigo Salon and Spa with Ashlie, photographing the girls getting ready and listening to Ashlie’s mom tell stories filled with nostalgia (one of my favorite things) while my assistant, David, photographed the guys at the hotel.

The ceremony and reception took place at the Country Boy Brewing Warehouse. It was the first wedding they ever had in the space and it was an honor to help break it in! Every detail of the day was so boho chic - Persian rugs leading up to the alter, velvet shoes for the bride and velvet bow ties for the guys, amazing floral bouquets with foraged details by my friend Amanda with Native Oak Floral… And these two were so fun too! They danced the night away with family and friends and kept us laughing the entire night.

Thank you so much Ashlie and Jared for asking me to photograph your wedding. Congratulations on your new, beautiful marriage!

Kraton & Logan {married}

Kraton and Logan tied the knot in one of the sweetest barn venues I have seen yet. Habit Hill Barn is located in Owensboro, KY and features a barn surrounded by trees with string lights, long farm tables and seating inside the barn, and a cute bridal suite with lots of vintage decor.

Kraton put so much thought and time into planning this wedding! There were so many details: in the decor, the popcorn bar (!!!), live music, fans for guests since it was an August wedding…she even presented me and my second shooter with lunch boxes filled with water bottles, snacks and champagne! It was so thoughtful and unexpected! And to top it all off, Kraton was so relaxed on her wedding day. Way to go, girl!

This wedding was really special - Kraton and Logan wrote their own vows that even made the pastor cry. Well, they made everyone cry. They had also been in a long distance relationship for over the past year and Kraton moved to the east coast just a few days after the wedding to be with Logan. So, it was a really sweet, intimate time with family and friends before a big move and transitioning into life together as husband and wife.

Congratulations Kraton and Logan! Thank you for including me in this beautiful day!
